How did the beverage challenge go? Were you able to try a few new beverages during the week? Here’s what we tried:
Last Tuesday I had my bi-monthly yoga class that just happens to be held in a vodka distillery. I know! The benefit of having yoga class in the distillery, is the drink we have afterwards. I knew I had to order something new, so I tried the Thin Mint Martini. It was delicious! Besides vodka, there was chocolate mint coffee and cream in it. It would be the perfect after dinner drink.
On Wednesday, we went to the grocery store and picked out some more new beverages. The kids tried the straws with flavoring in them. Cotton candy flavored milk anyone? I heard it is pretty good! I found some Cayman Jack Margarita’s that are quite tasty. They have a good flavor and aren’t too sweet.
Why we do the Food First Before Friday Challenge
Incorporating new experiences into your life doesn’t have to be a big event, in fact, it can be a simple first that can change your week. The main thing is to just try something new! So, I am doing a weekly challenge to try one new food by next Friday. Yes, just one new food a week. But just think, after one year, you’ll have experienced 52 new foods that you probably wouldn’t have even tried without this challenge! Each Friday, I’ll post the challenge and the results from the prior week.

I’ve been noticing a lot of new cookies in the store lately (Fireworks Oreo’s to name one), and I have a couple of new cookie recipes I want to try. So cookies it is. Try a new cookie! Invent your own odd but good mix in combination and make a cookie out of it. Or maybe bake some Brookies!
